Zamfara State Recruitment for Teachers: Portal now Open

The State Government Committee on Teachers Recruitment is inviting application from suitable and qualified candidates for classroom teaching jobs at various locations across the State..

This is following His Excellency, the Executive Governor, Zamfara State Dr. Dauda Lawal\’s approval for the recruitment of 500 teachers in the state civil service for the First Phase of 2025. Accordingly, interested candidates wishing to develop their career in teaching as BEGINNER TEACHERS can take advantage of the teacher recruitment exercise.

The recruitment exercise will be conducted using the recently approved “Teacher Recruitment and Deployment Policy and Guidelines” (TRDPG) and only eligible candidates with required qualifications and performance during the recruitment process will be considered to gain access into our classrooms.

The Zamfara State Government Committee on Teachers Recruitment has concluded arrangements for the New State Government Recruitment Portal developed by Zamfara Information Technology Development Agency – ZITDA.

All applicants including those that filled the earlier Google forms are required to apply in the fresh application portal.

1. Beginner Teachers (GL 07/01) – For NCE Holders
2. Beginner Teachers (GL 08/02) – For Bachelor In Education Degree Holders

Qualification Requirements

1. Academic Qualification: Candidates with NCE, B Ed, BSc.Ed, BA.Ed, or BA/BSc (Single Honors) with PGDE and NYSC certificate/Exemption (where applicable) is required. TRCN certificate, and a minimum of 2 years working experience are added advantage. Strictly, only candidates with the following teaching subjects are needed:

• English
• Mathematics
• Biology
• Chemistry
• Physics
• Computer Studies/ICT
• Entrepreneurship Studies

Candidates with Distinction, Credit and Merit for NCE and First and second class for Bachelor degrees will be given priority considerations.

2. Age: Candidates should not be more than 40 years of age

3. ICT skills: Candidates with knowledge of basic Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint have added advantage

4. Posting and deployment: Posting and deployment of teachers will be according to school demand and are mostly in rural areas.

Job Description 

The successfully employed teachers will be working from 7:30am to 2pm on school week days. Ability to work with adolescent children is as added advantage.

Salary Structure

Salary will be according to Teachers Salary Scale currently being implemented in the state, and will be on six months\’ probation period as provided in the scheme of service. Performance will determine the permanent/pensionable engagement after the probation period.

9. Take note of the screening process which include CBT, oral interview and microteaching

10. Create your account by filling in your personal data including NIN and BVN)

11. Choose and enter a password twice and Click on create account

12. Create an invoice and pay a non-refundable fee of one thousand naira only (N1,000)

13. Continue with the applications and fill all the necessary information
