2024 Julius Berger Scholarship Award For Nigerian Students

The Julius Berger Nigeria Scholarship Award is an initiative designed to support and empower Nigerian students in their educational journey. This scholarship aims to nurture the next generation of leaders, engineers, and professionals by providing financial assistance to deserving students across the country.

The JBN scholarship is a merit-based fully funded scholarship open to full-time female undergraduates studying engineering courses in public universities within Nigeria.

Julius Berger is inviting Nigerian female students to apply for its 2024 Scholarship Program. The award provides full funding for undergraduate students in the any of the following 17 different courses.

  1. Architecture
  2. Building and Construction Engineering
  3. Building Engineering
  4. Building Technology
  5. Cartography
  6. Chemical Engineering
  7. Civil Engineering
  8. Construction Engineering
  9. Construction Project Management
  10. Electrical Engineering
  11. Land Surveying
  12. Mechanical Engineering
  13. Metallurgical and Material
  14. Metallurgy
  15. Production Engineering
  16. Project Management
  17. Quantity Surveying and Structural engineering.

Eligibility Criteria

Interested applicants must possess the following characteristics to be eligible for the JBN Scholarship 2024. Applicant must:

  • Be a female
  • Be a citizen of Nigeria
  • Be in a Federal or State Owned Universities based in Nigeria
  • Be in the Faculty of Engineering /Environmental /Technology
  • Currently be in their second year of full-time study in a Nigerian Federal or State University accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC)
  • Have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 in a 5-grade system.

How to Apply

To apply for the Scholarship, interested applicant who meets the above criteria should prepare the following required documents to be uploaded during the application process

  1. Valid personal email account.
  2. Functional phone number.
  3. Recent passport-sized photograph of the applicant in JPEG format, not more than 200 kilobytes
  4. University or JAMB Admission Letter
  5. Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) Result
  6. O’ Level Result(s); and ‘A’ Level /OND /NCE Result(s) as applicable
  7. 100-level academic results.

To apply, follow the steps below:

  1. Scan all required documents for upload
  2. Visit https://candidate.scholastica.ng/schemes/jbn2024
  3. Click on “Apply Now” tab.
  4. Click on “Register Now” to create an account.
  5. Check your email box and click on the link sent to you to activate your account
  6. Enter your registered email and password to upload your information.
  7. Fill the JBN Scholarship application form with your personal information, National Identification Number (if available), educational information, and other information and upload the required scanned documents.
  8. Ensure the name used in applications matches the names on all documentation in the same order.
  9. Upload your documents, sworn affidavit or certificate if otherwise.
  10. Ensure you view all documents after uploading, to ensure that they are clear and accurate.
  11. When asked to upload a photo, upload a passport photograph with a white background.
  12. Recheck application information to avoid errors
  13. Click “Apply Now” to submit your application
  14. A message will pop up that confirms your application was successful.
  15. Return to the portal, with your Email and Password to download your profile.
  16. Take the downloaded profile to your Head of Department to sign the document.
  17. Upload a scanned copy of the signed profile, this would be used for verification.

Notes:

  • There is no certain age group to qualify for the scholarship.
  • Candidates should include personal and educational details in the application.
  • Only applications submitted online at the Scholastica JBN Scholarship portal would be treated.
  • Multiple applications would lead to disqualification.
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for the proctored computer-based test.
  • The examination date will be communicated to shortlisted candidates only.
  • Recipients are expected to maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.5 and high ethical standards to keep the scholarship.
