NNPC Limited NNPC Graduate Program also referred to as the Young Professionals Development (YPD) Programme is designed to provide the enabling environment for young graduates to grow into seasoned professionals and contribute to the achievement of the Company’s strategic goals. NNPC Limited’s Graduate Trainee program aim and objectives are to;

  • Support the implementation of organizational processes.

  • Support delivery of project team assignments.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the NNPC Graduate Trainee Recruitment, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Qualification: Must hold a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of Second Class Upper (2:1) or HND (with Distinction) in relevant fields such as Engineering, Geosciences, Computer Science, Business Administration, and Social Sciences. Alternatively, candidate with Bachelor’s Degree in the Second-Class Lower Division must have completed a Master’s Degree or possess a HND Upper Credit with a completed Master’s Degree.
  • Age Limit: Applicants should not be more than 28 years old at the time of application.
  • NYSC Completion: Must have completed the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program.
  • Other Requirements: Strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a willingness to learn and adapt.

The NNPC Limited Graduate Trainee Program has six categories of discipline:

  1. SCIENCES: Candidates for the Sciences category must have a qualification in Geology, Geophysics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Environmental Science, Basin Modelling, Surveying or Architecture.
  2. ENGINEERING: Candidates for the Engineering category must have a qualification in Petroleum, Gas, Chemical, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Power, Software, Computer, Environmental, Marine, Materials/Metallurgical or Pipeline Engineering
  3. BUSINESS/MANAGEMENT: Candidates for the Business/Management category must have a qualification in Business Administration, Accounting, Banking and Finance, Insurance, Actuarial Science, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Maritime Management, Purchasing & Supply, Management Information System or Human Resource Management.
  4. SOCIAL SCIENCES: Candidates for the Social Sciences category must have a qualification in Economics, Psychology, Sociology, Political Science, Geography, Public Administration or International Relations/Studies.
  5. ART/HUMANITIES: Candidates for the Art/Humanities category must have a qualification in Mass Communication, English or History.
  6. LAW: Candidates for the Law category must have a qualification in Law.

Selection Process

The selection process involves several stages to ensure the best candidates are chosen:

  • Aptitude Test: Shortlisted candidates will be invited to take an online aptitude test, assessing their numerical, verbal, and logical reasoning skills.
  • Assessment Center: Successful candidates from the aptitude test will attend an assessment center where they will participate in group exercises, case studies, and interviews.
