Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi Admission for M.Sc Program in Artificial Intelligence

The Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi is collaborating with three European universities to offer an M.Sc program in Artificial Intelligence to Nigerian graduates in the Engineering, Physical Sciences, ICT, Agriculture, Energy and Medicine discipline. This was contained in a public notice signed by the Dean SPGS – Prof. S. D. Abdul.

ATBU Admission for M.Sc Program in Artificial Intelligence

The Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi is inviting suitably qualified candidates to apply for admission into the International Master of Science Program in the Field of Embedded Artificial Intelligence (M.Sc. Embedded AI) with applications to Engineering, Physical Sciences, ICT, Agriculture, Energy and Medicine. The program is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Program of the European Union (EU), is a collaboration involving three European universities – University of Siegen (USI), Germany, Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan (KTH), Sweden and Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt (AAU), Austria and five Nigerian universities.

Admission Requirements

In addition to satisfying the School of Postgraduate Studies admission requirement for higher degrees, candidates seeking admission for the M.Sc. Embedded AI Program must possess the following qualifications:

• Five O/Level credit passes including English, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
• A Bachelor\’s degree with at least a Second-Class Lower division (2:2) in any of the Engineering disciplines, ICT, or Physical Sciences (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Information Technology and related fields.
• Candidates with an Upper Credit pass in the Postgraduate Diploma in the fields mentioned above would also be considered.

Mode of Study and Duration

• The M.Sc. Embedded AI degree is a full-time program.
• The program duration is a minimum of three semesters and a maximum of six semesters translating to a minimum of 18 months and a maximum of 36 months.

Mode of Course Delivery

The courses shall be delivered using a Blended Learning approach (physical and virtual participation). This method will facilitate interaction and knowledge sharing between students and faculty from different countries.

Method of Application

Prospective applicants should complete and submit an online application form at N11,000 through the ATBU School of Postgraduate Studies website: www.pgatbu.com.ng or direct admission portal link: pgatbu.admissions.cloud. Applicants are to upload scanned copies of their credentials. Ensure that only valid email addresses and phone numbers are used for further correspondence.

Important Note: Nigerian applicants without NYSC discharge or exemption certificates need NOT apply. Ensure that the online form is carefully and correctly completed. Applicants must arrange with their previous institutions to forward hard copies of their academic transcripts to the Program Coordinator, Centre For Embedded Artificial Intelligence & Smart Energy Systems, Gubi Campus, ATBU, P.M.B. 0248, Bauchi and international candidates can upload the softcopy through the portal. No candidate will be considered for admission without transcripts.
