Afro-Tech Girls Scholarship Program
Afro-Tech Girls aims to empower girls and young women with essential STEM skills and education, driving increased participation in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics fields.
Project 100 for 50 Launch
To realize this vision, Afro-Tech Girls Community is launching Project 100 for 50, a scholarship initiative targeting 50 female undergraduate students pursuing STEM degrees across Nigeria.
Scholarship Details
Each selected student will receive a one-time grant of ₦100,000 to support their university education, facilitating a smooth transition into the STEM workforce. This initiative seeks to bridge the gender gap in tech by providing financial aid and recognition to outstanding female students

Who We Serve
- Teenage girls (typically aged 10 to 18) in secondary school
- Female students currently enrolled in STEM degree programs
- Recent Female university graduates, unemployed, or those looking to pivot into a STEM career.
Eligibility
To qualify, the applicant must be:
- Female
- Currently residing in Nigeria
- Currently enrolled in a public tertiary institution (Federal, State, or Polytechnic) situated in Nigeria
- Studying towards a STEM-related degree
- On a grade of 2:2 and above or its equivalent
- Preference: be in the ATG community for at least a year prior
Application Requirements
- Proof of admission to the tertiary institution
- Proof of ID
- Proof of Current Grade Class
- A written application detailing: your personal background, why you need the scholarship, and why you should be awarded the scholarship (must be between 300 and 450 words).
- Being a member of the Afro-tech Girls community is an added advantage
Application Process and Timeline
- Open Call – Submission of Interest and complete your Application – October 10th – October 20th 2025
- Application Review – Deadline closes and the Submitted applications are reviewed – October 20th – November 4th 2025
- Interview of Short listed Candidates – November 5th – November 14th 2025
- Project 100 for 50 Beneficiaries Announcements – Beneficiaries are notified and announcements via Social Media – November 14th – November 20th 2025
