The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) recently announced the recruitment of graduates and postgraduates for training as Direct Short Service Cadets Training (DSSC 34/2025). This recruitment exercise aims to induct talented and qualified individuals into the NAF officer corps.

Eligibility for Nigerian Air Force Direct Short Service Cadet Recruitment
1. Applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth.
2. Applicants must be between the ages of 20 and 32 years, while Medical Doctors (consultants) could be between the ages of 25 and 40 years at the time of the application.
3. The Exercise is not for serving personnel desiring Branch Commission. Therefore, personnel above 32 years of age are not to apply.
4. A serving personnel must be recommended by his/her Commanding Officer/Commander and must have served for 10 years and attained the rank of Cpl.
5. Applicants must not be less than 1.66m tall for males and not less than 1.63m tall for fernales.
6. Applicants must be free of any previous conviction(s) on criminal grounds by a court of law.
7. Applicants must be medically, physically and psychologically fit and must meet the Nigerian Air Force medical and employment standards.
ACADEMIC/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION
8. Interested applicants must possess a minimum of Second Class Upper Division for holders of first degree and Upper Credit for HND holders. An Msc/MA as well as Computer literacy will be added advantages. Likewise, membership of relevant professional bodies is an added advantage. In addition, applicants must possess credit in English Language and Mathematics as well as 3 additional credits in subjects related to their course of study.
9. Applicants must possess NYSC Discharge Certificate or Letter of Exemption from NYSC at the time of applying for DSSC.
10. Medical applicants must possess certificates of registration with their respective statutory professional bodies in Nigeria.

- Parent/Guardians Consent Form.

- Military Officer from the same State as the applicant and not below the rank of Wing Commander in the Nigerian Air Force or equivalent in the Nigerian Army and Nigerian Navy.
- Police Officer of the rank of Assistant Commissioner and above.
- Substantive Local Govemment Chairman/Secretary.
- Magistrates from Applicants’ state of origin.
Note
The Local Government Area Attestation Form must be accompanied by the passport photograph and photocopy of the signees Drivers Licence or National ID Card or International Passport.

Zonal General Aptitude Test will hold on a date to be conveyed on the NAF Recruitment Portal. Only successful applicants will be invited for the Selection Interview.
