FIRS Recruitment Portal for Tax Officers
As part of its consolidation strategie, the Federal Inland Revenue Service wish to engage the services of early starters with integrity, drive and desire to win professionally, to strengthen its workforce. The Service announcement for the opening of the recruitment portal for applications for tax officer roles indicates that the portal will go live on November 2nd, 2024, at 12:00 am, with openings for Officer I and Officer II positions available nationwide.
Available Locations
Positions are open across eight Nigerian states: Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, Imo, Ekiti, Lagos, and Oyo. However, successful applicants should be prepared for potential reassignment, as candidates āmust be prepared to work in any of FIRSās business locations,ā regardless of their initial posting preference.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following key requirements:
- Age Limit: Candidates should be 27 years old or younger as of December 31, 2024.
- NYSC Completion: Completion of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) must have occurred no later than December 31, 2021.
- Educational Qualifications: A Bachelorās Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) with a First Class or Second Class Upper Division in relevant fields such as Accounting, Actuarial Science, Business Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Economics, Law, Mathematics, and Statistics is required.
- Additional Qualifications: A relevant masterās degree or professional certifications (e.g., ICAN, ACCA, ANAN, COREN, NSE) are considered advantageous.
