This was made known to the general public by authorities of the Academy in an advert published on the school’s website to inform the general public that online application for admission into the 76 Regular Course of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna is now on sale and will be available to both male and female Nigerians.
Benefits of NDA Regular Course
The NDA Regular Course is a degree awarding program where on successful completion of training, gradaunts will earn a honours degree in core disciplines (BSc, BEng, BA).
The NDA Regular Course is a form of Scholarship where all Regular Course cadets will undergo both academic and military training and the cost of their studies and logistics will be covered by the Federal Government of Nigeria.
Upon successful graduation candidates will earn a Presidential Commission into the Armed Forces of Nigeria.
Mode of Training
NDA Regular Course is a 5 years program with candidates undergoing military and academic training as full time student Officer Cadets.

NDA Requirements for Eligibility
To be eligible for 76 Regular Course admission into the Nigerian
Defence Academy (NDA) candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Must be a Nigerian, male or female can apply.
- Must be medically and physically fit.
- Must be of good moral character.
- Must not be a nursing mother nor under any legal obligation to support any child or other individuals.
- Present a Certificate of indigeneship from the state government or local government area.
- Be at least 17 years old and NOT more than 21 years old as at August 2024 (the year of entry into the Academy).
- Must have a minimum of 5 ordinary level credits at GCE, SSCE (WAEC,NECO, NBAIS and NABTEB) English language, Mathematics and three other subjects which are relevant to the intended programme at not more than 2 sittings.
- Must sit for JAMB and passed the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) and attained an acceptable minimum cut-off mark.
- Must NOT be less than 1.68 meters tall for male and 1.65 meters for female.
- Knowledge of French, Arabic or Madarin language is an added advantage.
- Application forms must be submitted along with O’ level results.
- Candidate must not be awaiting results.
- O’ level examination results must NOT be more than 5 years old from the date of examination.
NDA JAMB Cut-Off Mark
The NDA cutoff mark for admission is the UTME score of 180 for Arts & Social Sciences and Science while 210 score for Engineering courses.
How to Apply
The NDA Application form can be accessed online. Below are the required steps to take to successfully complete and submit your Application.
- Step 1: Scan all your required documents as mentioned above to be uploaded during application
- Step 2: Go to the NDA application portal www.ndaapplications.net,
- Step 3: Download and read the Instructions provided on the website carefully.
- Step 4: Obtain your ORDER ID and REMITA Retrieval Reference (RRR) Code in the sum of N3,500.00 only
- Step 5: Select āPurchase Access Codeā and fill in your details to pay for the application via REMITA.
- Step 6: After successful payment, fill all details required on the application form
- Step 7: Upload your scanned SSCE results and other required documents online
- Step 8: Submit the NDA online application, and download the Acknowledgement Form
- Step 9: Apply and sit for the 2024 JAMB UNIFIED TERTIARY MATRICULATION EXAMINATIONS (UTME) with NDA as your first choice of Institution.
- Step 10: Print the NDA Screening Test Admission Card if you make the JAMB UTME cutoff mark for NDA admission
- Step 11: Wait and pray for your name to be among the NDA Shortlisted Candidates.
Application Closing Date
The deadline for submission of application is 30th April 2024.
NDA Screening Test
The NDA Post-UTME screening test is scheduled to hold on Saturday 25 May 2024.
Therefore, all eligible candidates are required to come along with the following documents
- Your Acknowledgement Form
- Screening Test Admission Card
- JAMB result slip
- TWO (2) postcard size (3.5 x 5 inches) photographs to the Screening Test Centre. The photographs should show only from the chest upwards and should contain the candidateās Name, Exam number, State, Exam Centre, Course of study and Signature at the back.
Only successful candidates at the NDA Screening Test will subsequently be invited for the Armed Forces Selection Board (phase 2 of the screening test) following which the list of successfully admitted candidates will be published.
