Sokoto State University – SSU Postgraduate Programmes Admission

Application for admission into Postgraduate Programme is now open at Sokoto State University SSU, Sokoto following the approval by the National Universities Commission (NUC) for the University to run Postgraduate programmes.

The invitation for application for admission into the postgraduate study courses of the University was contained in a publication by the Office of the Registrar announcing the commencement of Postgraduate programmes at Sokoto State University.

Applications are, therefore, invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into Postgraduate programmes for the 2021/2022 academic session beginning 15th February, 2022, leading to the award of Postgraduate Diplomas, Master and Doctorate degrees.

Admission Requirements

The Admission Requirements for the 2021/2022 Postgraduate Programmes are as follows.

All candidates for admission into Postgraduate programmes must provide the following records of Academic performance

1. Academic Transcripts.

2. Satify Requirements for matriculation.

3. Candidates for admission into Ph.D. programmes shall have a Master’s degree in relevant areas with CGPA of not less than 3.0 on a scale of 5.0.

4. Candidates for admission into Master’s degree programmes shall have a minimum of Second Class Lower degree in the relevant areas.

5. Postgraduate Diploma or Third Class degree (with at least five (5) years cognate work experience) from any recognized University may be considered.

6. Candidates for admission into Postgraduate Diploma programmes should possess the following:

• Higher National Diploma (HND) with a minimum of Lower Credit in relevant area.
• Third Class degree in relevant area.
• Qualifications other than i and ii above which are acceptable to the University.
