Benefits of KAUST Financial Support​ (KAUST Fellowship)
The KAUST Fellowship Financial Support is a fully funded scholarship available to all admitted students who apply. Beneficiaries receive the benefits of the KAUST Fellowship for the duration of their graduate studies. The benefits of the KAUST Fellowship include:
- ​Full tuition support
- Monthly living allowance (ranging between $20,000-30,000 annually, depending on qualifications and progression through degree programs)
- Housing allowance for accommodation
- Medical and dental coverage allowance
- Relocation support
Eligibility Requirements for KAUST Financial Support​ (KAUST Fellowship)
To benefit from the KAUST Fellowship Scholarship, you must first of all secure an admission into the university for postgraduate studies, then you can apply for the KAUST Financial Support​ scholarship. The following are the eligibility criteria for admission into King Abdullah University:
- A minimum TOEFL score of 79 on the IBT (Internet Based Test) or 6.5 on the IELTS (International English Language Testing System).
- Applicants’ official complete university Transcript/ Mark sheets/ Graduation Certificate/ Academic Record from every institution previously attended.
- Three letters of recommendation submitted on your behalf by your professors or advisors.

2. IDB-KAUST Joint PhD Scholarship Program
The DB-KAUST Joint PhD Scholarship Program is a fully funded scholarship sponsored by King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in partnership with the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) to study at KAUST.
The IDB-KAUST PhD Scholarship Program is a merit-based Scholarship Program for students of PhD Program in KAUST. IDB-KAUST PhD Scholarship is available only to citizens of IDB member countries running a full-time 4-year PhD program at KAUST.
The scholarship is available only throughout the eligible duration of the study program at KAUST.
Eligibility Requirements for DB-KAUST PhD Scholarship ProgramÂ
To be eligible for the DB-KAUST PhD Scholarship candidate must be:
- A citizen of an IDB member country (visit the IDB Merit Scholarship Program for a full listing of member countries)
- Age not over 35 years
- Have secured admission to study at the KAUST for a PhD program.
- Nominated by an academic, research or development institute where the candidate is engaged in full-time employment in the home country.
- Meets the eligibility criteria of the IDB Merit Scholarship Program
Note that the selection of candidates under this joint scholarship program is within the scope of the IDB Merit Scholarship Program and is available to award only 5 scholarships annually. Interested candidates must follow IDB Merit Scholarship Program criteria and procedures to apply for the scholarship.

3. KAUST Gifted Student Program (KGSP) Scholarship
The KGSP is a fully funded scholarship program for Saudi Arabia’s most talented high school students interested in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) discipline. The KGSP, sponsor students to earn undergraduate degrees at top universities in the United States in preparation for future admissions to KAUST graduate programs all for free.
Eligibility and Requirements for KAUST Gifted Student Program (KGSP) Scholarship
The KAUST Gifted Student Program (KGSP) is an undergraduate scholarship open to only Saudi national who is a Grade 12 student hoping to commence University studies the following year. For example, a student who is in Grade 12 during the 2023-2024 academic year and who is available to commence University studies from the Fall of 2024.
- Student must be an indigen of Saudi Arabia
- Student must have a minimum score of TOEFL IBT 90, Qodorat 90 and SAT 1350 (with a minimum of 700 SAT Math). However in lieu of a minimum TOEFL score, a minimum IELTS score of 7.0 or a minimum SAT Reading/Writing score of 650 will be accepted.
- Application attracts a one-time fee of SAR200 (two hundred SAR).

- Only one application is allowed per person.

How to Apply for KAUST Scholarship
Please follow the below steps to apply for admission and scholarship at KAUST:
- Start your online application through the application portal of the KAUST here: https://admissions.kaust.edu.sa/.
- Scan your official transcript provided by your previous university in the native language and English translation.
- Upload documents into the online along with the certified English translation. Your transcript must include the university grading scale for all documents submitted.
- If offered admission, send an official final transcript must be sent to the Office of Admissions of the university in a sealed envelope prior to arrival (during the onboarding process).
