The North-West Development Commission (NWDC) has open its application portal for the NWDC 2025 Undergraduate & Postgraduate Foreign Scholarship Programme.
The NWDC Scholarship Program is a fully funded scholarship aimed at developing human and capital resources of indigenes of Northwestern Nigeria.
North-West Development Commission was established by the NWDC Act, 2024 signed into law by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. It is committed to driving development, growth, and infrastructure enhancement in the North-West region.
To further this mission, the Commission is pleased to announce the opening of applications for 2025/2026 Undergraduate and Postgraduate Foreign Scholarship. This initiative seeks to foster academic excellence and empower exceptional individuals from the North-West region to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate studies at reputable foreign universities.

Scholarship Details
The North-West Development Commission (NWDC) Scholarship Scheme is offering awards for the following levels and fields of study:

Eligibility Criteria
Interested applicants must:
- Be an indigene of any of the North-Western states: Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto, or Zamfara
- Meet specific academic requirements:
- Undergraduate: Distinction in 3 O’Level core science subjects and 5 credits in other subjects (in not more than 2 sittings), and 22 years old or younger
- Master’s: CGPA of 3.8 and above, and 35 years old or younger
- PhD: Minimum of 4.0/5.0 CGPA in Master’s Degree, and 40 years old or younger
